Are you sitting at your computer, constantly reading other peoples blogs wishing you could start your own?
Well, you should!
Blogging is a great hobby to have, it’s an outlet to express your opinion and a great way to socialise with new people. The truth is, we aren’t all going to become full-time bloggers who have 100K + followers on every social media platform. But that shouldn’t stop you from doing it. Doing something that makes you happy is one of the most fulfilling things you can do in life. If writing about beauty products, travel or any other experience makes you happy then go ahead and start.
Everyone is naturally drawn to something and everyone is good at something! Finding your niche and starting a blog could help you in so many ways, including boosting your confidence. Many of us in the blogosphere have lacked confidence at some point in our lives and some of us still do… The blogging community is a hell of a supportive place and there are so many people who can help boost your confidence here. For instance, our little Blogger Crowd tribe are a fantastic bunch, always supporting each other’s achievements.
Worried you don’t know enough about it? Not to worry! People are more than willing to help you, all you have to do is ask. If you’re particularly worried about something why not join in a few blogger chats on Twitter? We host one ourselves! You’re able to ask questions in these and you’re guaranteed to get an answer within minutes. There are also tonnes of supportive Facebook groups you can join and find answers to any of your blogging related questions.
Read up on it! So many bloggers have helpful posts teaching you about everything from getting set up to SEO (something you won’t need to worry about for a long time)! Who better to get advice from than someone who does it themselves?
Blogging is a very rewarding hobby that many people enjoy just because it’s fun. Don’t take it too seriously and don’t expect too much from it, don’t let little things dishearten you either.
Our advice would be to just go for it. Get yourself up and running on WordPress or Blogspot and start writing! The rest will come naturally. And remember, it’s not about numbers. Don’t pay attention to views, followers or how many people liked your Instagram post last night. If it makes you happy, that’s all that matters.
